Lunch in the Valley

Went to Alex today. TERRIBLE experience. End. Of. Story. Right off the bat we should have walked out, immediately after walking we were greeted by the host. The gentlemen took one look at us and "kindly" asked if we would like to take a look at the menu before we were seated, this wasn't some "oh, you haven't been here before take a look at this" kinda thing. It was pure judgment, we were getting the vibe that he felt that we didn't have the money for it. I didn't realize that it was a bit more upscale, I had a beanie on, so partly my fault for not looking the part. After being seated it took forever to get anything! The place was short staffed and I actually felt sorry for the server, he was the only guy taking tables and his busser was too busy talking with a guy at the bar to help him get our table bread or even some water. We got our drinks and ordered lunch. When the meal arrived I was less then impressed by the portions and even less impressed with the food. Sad to say but Alex, your subpar staffing, small portions, and high prices make your restaurant one that I will not return to. There are far to many good restaurants in the Valley to waste money at one that fell short.
